welcome to "it's a good problem to have"
It's the start of 2026, which means I've been doing this small business thing for seven years. And I finally, finally, finally feel like things are falling into place. We've never gone viral and have certainly not been an overnight success, but the business continues to chug along, growing year after year.
The strategy? A cobbled-together mix of intuition, vibes, and just enough data to get by. A few hopes and prayers. Many, many late nights. The result? My original designs can now be found in hundreds of independent shops around the US, in some larger chains such as Paper Source and Barnes & Noble, and throughout the UK thanks to a licensing partnership with Woodmansterne.

Yes, girl. Like, ridiculously hard.
My small business journey has simultaneously been the greatest thing that I’ve ever done and one that has resulted in overwhelm, burnout, and losing sight of who I am outside of the business.
It’s A Good Problem To Have is an attempt to reconcile the wild contradictions of small business ownership. The guilt of daring to feel overwhelmed by a success that I dreamt of for years. The feelings of immense privilege and crushing pressure. The constant push and pull, the seasons of hustle that called on me to pour from an empty cup. And now, at last, the return to self. Catch me in real time working through my own exploration of purpose, direction, and self.
